Nicknamed ‘America’s Mediterranean’ in the 1920s, development of the village of Miami Shores began in 1924 after the Shoreland Company purchased land once held by Major Hugh Gordon and T.V. Moore. Gordon and Moore were among several early homesteaders to settle in the area, using the land to plant commercial mango, pineapple, and grapefruit groves. The Shoreland Company’s grand ambitions for the village were unfortunately cut short when a hurricane devastated the area in 1926 and the Company went bankrupt. Thankfully, the New Miami Shores Corporation took over the development, and in 1932 Miami Shores Village was officially incorporated.
Today, the village is home to more than 10,000 residents and is known for its tree-lined streets, gorgeous homes, A-rated schools, and popular country club. New issue today 10/23/25, Terry Wasser was the technician. Had problem with my A/C that was working sporadically. He identified issues & provided valuable solutions/suggestions to prevent repeat situations which I took. He was very friendly & knowledgeable . Great service from their technicians and support staff. Prompt, honest, and great quality work. Brian was great with today's inspection. Very happy to continue doing business with them for service. Art's pricing for anything other than service, however, is highway robbery. Astronomical quotes for any installation. They need to conduct competitive analysis. For this reason, I would reduce 5 star to 3 stars but people like Brian and Lori dont deserve anything less than 5 stars. The human staff is why I choose to continue my business with Art. The AI will make me take my business elsewhere though
