Water Purification Systems

water treatment
Reading Time: 2 minutes

You might already know why water treatment is important, but it’s also a good idea to learn about the various ways in which you can improve your water’s quality. One method of treatment is using a water purification system – but what exactly is a water purification system and how do you choose the right one?

Water purification systems process your water in two stages:
1) Filtration – where large (but often still naked to the eye) particles are removed.
2) Chemically treated – to remove all remaining contaminants.

Water treatment systems have many great benefits, such as removing calcium, magnesium, or other minerals from your water – making your water softer and less cloudy; ensuring that all soaps and cleaning products lather; eliminating soap build-up on shower doors; and providing your home with great tasting water.

There are many different types of systems but here are just a few of our top performers:

Reverse Osmosis System
This easy to use system makes use of the process of reverse osmosis to purify your water to drinking quality that is unsurpassed. First, your water is filtered to remove larger sediments, then it goes through the activated carbon to remove chlorine, foul tastes and smells, and other chemicals. Finally, the water goes through our special reverse osmosis membrane, which removes any remaining harmful contaminants.

No Salt System
Our Green Treat Water system is a unique, no salt system that is perfect for purifying and conditioning the water for your entire home! It saves water, space, and doesn’t use electricity – you may be wondering how it manages to do all this? It starts as a 2-tank process, where in the first tank activated carbon filters and removes harmful chemicals, chlorine, odors, and foul tastes. The second tank is where all the magic happens – a special technology called seed crystallization converts calcium and magnesium particles into calcium carbonate “seed crystals” that are so miniscule and microscopic that they are unable to attach to any surfaces, thus reducing scale build-up.

UV-light
Systems that use UV-light to purify water are the safest and are very effective. These incredible systems do not use any chemicals to treat the water, instead they use the power of UV light to kill any harmful bacteria or viruses that may be lurking in your water. And while they may be slightly more expensive than other water treatment systems, if you are concerned about the health and safety risks involved with the chemicals of other methods, this may be a worthwhile investment!

If you are still unsure about which system will be best for your needs, it’s a good idea to contact a reliable supplier for more information. Regardless of your choice, make sure that the system is certified by an independent organization such as the Public Health and Safety Organization (NSF).

The quality of your water has a significant impact on your overall health and well-being, as well as your laundry, dishes, and the effectiveness of your cleaning products – so it is well worth investing in a suitable water purification system for your family and home.
