Happy Friday everyone and I welcome you back to the end of the work week for many of us. So, in the realm of utterly useless trivia, on April 8th 1983 the world famous magician David Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty disappear. Here’s a link to a You Tube of it if you have three minutes and 46 seconds to spare, just promise you come back when you’re done because I want to tell you about something else we can make disappear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=823GNH4Rczg
Welcome back! Sort of a cool video, right? So I can hear you asking, what new thing can Art Plumbing, AC and Electric make disappear? Those of you who are long time readers will already know the answer from the last sentence. For my newer audience, the answer is in the new name of the company. as we can now make all of your electrical issues disappear. We are fully licensed and insured, and now have two full time electricians on board.
First off, a personal secret is the fact that electricity frightens me. I do not like to work on things that have the ability to kill you very quickly, not to mention that I don’t have any official training in the field. One thing I can tell you when it comes to electricity, as you are often warned on TV – Do Not Attempt This At Home! All of the trades hold some inherent dangers, however when it comes to dangerous; natural gas, propane, and electricity are on the top of the list.
Living here in the lightning capital of the world I also thought you’d like to know that a powerful lightning strike can release up to a billion volts of energy, which is a mind boggling number, especially if you think about the fact that the typical in home air conditioner runs on 240 volts. I know this post is about electrical, I just had to get one AC fact in here and couldn’t help myself.
Ok, so what can we do electrically speaking to keep it simple? We can do it all! Whether it is a simple light fixture or ceiling fan, all the way to completely re-wiring your home to replace faulty aluminum wire. Do you have a complex outdoor lighting system? We can help with low voltage issues as well.
In the safety world according to the ESFI (Electrical Safety Foundation International):
Those my friends are some frightening numbers. I’ll leave you with that thought and as I said, when it comes to electricity please leave it to the pros and give us a call at 1-800-475-1504, visit www.artplumbingandac.com or drop me an email at THW@artplumbingandac.com and we will be out in a flash!!
