Hey everybody, welcome back and happy Friday!! This past Wednesday we welcomed the official beginning of fall, which means its AC tune up and maintenance time. I know that fall here in the sunshine state doesn’t mean much, other than we can expect a little drop in humidity, and waiting for the cooler temps to roll in. The other expectation is that the AC system in your home will get a little break and for sure needs some attention in the form of maintenance.

You go to your doctor annually for a physical, you change the oil in your car every few thousand miles, and just like any other machine your air conditioning system needs regular maintenance as well. Unfortunately, many people have a set it and forget it mentality when it comes to air conditioning and the plumbing system of their homes. This often times leads to bigger problems and bigger repair bills than would have been needed if regular maintenance had been occurring on these systems. This is why we offer Service Partner Plans for air conditioning, plumbing, and the sprinkler systems in your home. What is a Service Partner Plan (SPP) you ask?

Let’s start with air conditioning. Our SPP air conditioning plan gives you some very nice benefits. First and foremost, as an SPP member you can choose to have one or two annual tune ups on your AC system. If your system is over five or six years old I recommend twice a year. The next benefit you reap is never paying a service call charge. If a non-SPP member calls in with a broken air conditioner, we will assess a forty dollar service charge to come to the home and assess the unit, whereas an SPP member will see us waive our service call fee. Next up, we perform an 18-point tune up of your system. This tune-up includes treating and flushing your condensate drain, cleaning the indoor coil in place, checking pressures, checking all electrical connections, and much more. The final and best benefit you receive as an SPP member is a ten percent discount on those times when you do need a repair.

Moving on to plumbing, an annual inspection of your plumbing system can be a real money saver with the cost of an average flood in a home well into the thousands of dollars. There are billions of dollars paid out every year due to leaks and other water damage in USA homes alone, and on rough average, 93% of all water damage is preventable. Once again, we annually inspect all plumbing fixtures in the home, drain and flush your hot water heater, change the flappers on the water closets, and more. As with the AC plan, if you do need a repair, a ten percent discount is applied and there is no service call charge.
